Environment and natural resource management
Porter Novelli Adelaide heads up the network’s national expertise in the environment and natural resource management sectors.
We apply leading-edge communications practice and community-based social marketing techniques for a range of national and regional clients, including national rural research development and extension organisations, Federal and State government programs and agencies, and agribusiness.
While communication is our core business, we also have a proven track record in managing environmental and NRM projects, and managing and supporting extension programs for farmers. A specialty is providing the bridge that links primary producers with technical advisers to deliver quality outputs.
Some of our recent experience includes:
• Managing NRM and environmental management projects at a national, Basin, State and catchment level for a range of clients, including Horticulture Australia Limited, the EPA’s Mount Lofty Ranges Watershed Protection Office (EPA-WPO), Mount Lofty Ranges Catchment Program, and the Murray-Darling Basin Commission.
• Developing community engagement, community consultation, awareness and communication strategies relating to NRM and/or environmental management for organisations such as the River Murray Catchment Water Management Board, the North Adelaide and Barossa Catchment Water Management Board, the EPA-WPO, the Murray-Darling Basin Commission, Water Proofing Adelaide, Zero Waste SA, WaterCare, Horticulture Australia Limited, the Ibis Awards, Save the Bush and Landcare.
• Coordinating the development of numerous technical support documents for primary producers including guidelines, manuals and reference material for Horticulture Australia, Dairy Australia, the Australian Department for Agriculture Forest and Fisheries and the Department for Water Land and Biodiversity Conservation.
